Hi, I’m Janice — music fan, photo nerd, and the eye behind Wish You Were There.

Known by some as “the classic rock lady” (guilty!), I’ve also been caught singing along at more than a few country shows. For the past 8 years, I’ve been photographing concerts across the Edmonton area — from massive outdoor festivals to gritty dive bars where the lighting’s bad but the energy’s electric.

Wish You Were There is my way of freezing those fleeting live music moments — the ones that make your heart race and your ears ring. Whether it’s a jaw-dropping guitar solo or the quiet pause before the encore, I’m always chasing the shot that tells the whole story in a single frame.
