The Stephanie Harpe Experience (S.H.E.): A Rock Legacy with Heart and Purpose
The Stephanie Harpe Experience, often abbreviated S.H.E., is a high-energy rock band based out of Edmonton, Alberta, that blends powerful music, Indigenous pride, and grassroots advocacy into a unique artistic voice. Led by Stephanie Harpe — a singer, songwriter, and international advocate — the band has carved out a respected place in the Canadian music scene while lifting up meaningful causes through their work.
Stephanie Harpe was discovered at the age of 18 by Canadian music icon Jeff Healey, who became a mentor and helped connect her with industry figures early in her career.

Advocacy, Storytelling, and Artistry
While S.H.E. is rooted in rock music, Stephanie Harpe’s creative output is inseparable from her advocacy work. As a Residential School survivor and a survivor of violence, she uses music, speeches, and public engagement to raise awareness about Murdered, Missing and Exploited Indigenous Peoples (MMEIP) and Indigenous resilience.
Her Tedx Talk, titled “Indigenous Suffering and Survival to Success,” has been widely shared, and she’s appeared as a speaker and performer across Canada and internationally as part of youth conferences and cultural events.

Beyond concerts and recordings, Stephanie Harpe and S.H.E. are part of a broader cultural movement. Stephanie has integrated storytelling, education, and community support into her artistic identity, often speaking at conferences, community gatherings, and national forums.
This expansive approach means that The Stephanie Harpe Experience is more than a band — it’s a vessel for cultural dialogue and change, speaking to both the pain and the triumph of Indigenous communities through vibrant rock music.
