Black Label Society Bring the Thunder to Midway Music Hall – March 20, 2026

Edmonton’s Midway Music Hall was the place to be on March 20 as Black Label Society rolled into town for the first of two shows, delivering a crushing night of riffs, solos, and pure heavy metal energy.

Led by legendary guitarist and frontman Zakk Wylde, the band continues to prove why they remain one of the most respected names in modern metal. From the moment they hit the stage, the crowd was locked in—heads banging and fists raised—as BLS unleashed a set packed with fan favourites and blistering musicianship.

Dark Chapel

The night kicked off with a powerful lineup of opening acts, including Zakk Sabbath and Dark Chapel, both of whom set the tone early. Zakk Sabbath—Wylde’s own tribute to Black Sabbath—delivered a crushing set of classic doom-laden tracks, while Dark Chapel brought a darker, modern edge that resonated strongly with the early crowd.

By the time Black Label Society took the stage, the room was primed. Wylde’s signature blend of searing guitar solos, gritty vocals, and Southern metal groove filled the venue, reminding fans exactly why the band has built such a loyal following over the years.
